This site was born in December 1999. It was originally meant
as an online resume. Gradually, it evolved into a place where
family, friends, and everyone who is interested can see what I
am doing. The site is also helpful to myself: if it wouldn't exist,
I would forget what projects I have worked on, in what year I've
graduated, etc. It serves as an extension of my memory ;-)
Since this site is already 6 years old, I really would
like to redesign it, but I didn't find the time yet.
To end I would like to say something about the pic on the left:
yes it is me, bodypainted by my cousin who is an artist. More
info about his work can be found here.

thank God)

wanted to do with my life (lab assistant, waitress, sales woman)

For years I've been trying to find out which job is the perfect
fit for me. Because I was good at maths in high school I became
an engineer, but a part of me was not very happy with that:
my creative part. At that time I discovered the internet and
computers. I had always been very interested in design (fashion
design, architecture, interior design, graphic design) but now
I discovered a new sort of design: web design. I wanted to learn
how to make websites too so I started a postgraduate course
multimedia. Even before I finished that, I found a job as a
web designer and I've been very happy ever since because web
design keeps both the technical and creative side in me satisfied.
I finally found my true love ;-)
Description: The Fairco Education Students’
site is an independent resource for students entering higher
education worldwide.
Role: Logo, concept, design and implementation of
the design into the Stylelabs
.NET portal/CMS, ONLY of the global homepage
and the Students' site (English version). Fairco did not ask
for a redesign of the Educators' site, although I changed
the image and the top bar to make it fit more into the new
L&F. Additional info: Choose a language different from English
and you'll see the previous version of the site. The biggest
concern for the redesign was to make the site more user-friendly,
easier to navigate and easier to update. The information structure
was completely revised. Although Fairco asked for 15 main
links/sections, I tried to make the navigation in such a way
so that people would not get lost in the abundance of links. The
initial version of my design can be found here.
Description: Redesign proposal for the site of
British School of Brussels.
Description: Site of the International School of
Brussels (a school for children of expats living in Belgium)
Description: Intranet for the eTI (eTechnology
Integration) department within Deloitte.
Role: Design and implementation of the design into
the Sharepoint portal Additional info: The design of this 'Sharepoint portal'
was mainly implemented by adapting the stylesheets only, the
html code itself was almost not touched at all! Except for
the content of the individual webparts.
Description: invitation for my housewarming drink which
took place on June 22nd 2002 Technique: Flash
Description: Site to promote the MBA program of the
Solvay Business School (part of the Université Libre
de Bruxelles)
Role: A part of the site was already made by someone
else a while ago, but lots of new sections had to be integrated.
This implied a small redesign and of course quite a lot of html
development. I also did some consulting for the information
architecture. Additional info: Everything had to be done within a very
tight time schedule. Status: Offline
Description: Web Application to allow brokers to fill
in their contracts online, through a browser interface.
Role: design & part of the front-end development Additional info: A team of more than 30 people has been
working on this project. Designplaza handled the front-end (loads
of javascript!) while other Andersen colleagues dealt with the
heavy back-end stuff. The team was very international (people
from Canada, France, UK, ...). I was on this project for almost
2 years, much too long!.
Description: dynamic website for a bed manufacturer
(still under construction) Role: concept, design
& part of the development
Additional info:Stylelabs
asked me to work together with them on this site. Everything
in the site (navigation, text, images,...) can be updated by
the client, through a web interface (called the Stylelabs admin
pages), without editing HTML or touching the design or programming.
A very nice product, those admin pages!

that has never been done before.
Additional info: This site has been linked on k10k, h73,
factory512, surfstation, linkdup, caffemocha, praktica, netdiver,
digitalthread and others. There's even an article about it on
the computerarts
site and in Computer Arts Magazine :-)
Description: site for a callgirl Technique:
Flash Role: concept, design & development
Mission: Why do callgirl sites always have to be ugly?
I wanted to make a change.
Additional info: Although the site had to be ready in a
very short period of time, I had lots of fun making it!
